Fig Tree Grafters Don’t Want You To Know This: Why I DON’T Plant Grafted Fig Trees

In this video, I discuss why I don't plant grafted fig trees…and you probably shouldn't, either! While almost all of my other fruit trees are grafted, I don't recommend grafting figs because of the extreme risks unique to grafted figs that most other fruit trees don't suffer.

We discuss the Top 5 reasons why we graft fruit trees, why these reasons don't apply when you graft fig trees, the risks that occur when you graft figs, and why planting grafted figs can have potential catastrophic results. Finally, we discuss two exceptions where planting a grafted fig tree could be beneficial.
