Video Description

In this video, I share 6 leafy greens that love growing in cold weather! It's not too late to grow a winter garden. These cold hardy vegetables thrive in the cool days and chilly nights that winter gardens and spring gardens provide. Plant these winter crops for big harvest late winter through the spring gardening season and beyond!

The cold hardy crops featured in this video can be grown all winter in milder Zone 6's and warmer, but perform best when protected from hard frosts with agricultural fabric. See the link below to learn how to build row covers with a simple PVC hoop house. For colder zones, these crops are best sown in mid-to-late summer for harvests throughout fall into early winter or by starting seeds indoors mid-winter and transplanting them in late winter or early spring after the ground thaws and the worst of the cold has passed.
